Council of Europe supports negotiated, political settlement of Sahara issue, ambassador

Morocco's ambassador to the European Union, Fathallah Sijilmassi, said the Council of Europe supports a negotiated political settlement of the Sahara issue.
The diplomat said in an interview published Thursday by Al Ittihad Al Ichtiraki that the Council of Europe member countries are permanently encouraging dialogue, especially between Morocco and Algeria, to reach a settlement to this fabricated issue, stressing that Morocco remains faithful to its choice of dialogue and contacts with the different European partners, "who show understanding of Morocco's position."
