Saudi Cabinet and American Sanctions on Syria
Saudi Arabia-Syria, Politics, 5/18/2004
Saudi Arabia's Cabinet stressed Monday that the American sanctions on Syria aggravate the situation and disturb stability in the Middle East.
In a statement read by Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Fuad Ben Abdulsalam al-Faresi during the cabinet's weekly session in Jeddah, he underlined that the American sanctions will escalate tension and feelings of injustice, asserting that those sanctions should be imposed on Israel which violates international laws and charters.
The Cabinet asserted that negotiation and constructive dialogue with Syria will contribute to enhance mutual respect, understanding and interests.
