Arab Human Rights Organization condemned Israeli crimes; calls for war crime trials
Regional-Palestine, Politics, 5/18/2004

The Cairo-based Arab Human Rights Organization condemned Israeli brutal practices committed against the Palestinian people, describing them as war crimes.

In a statement published on Monday, the Organization stressed that the Israeli demolishing of homes and destruction of the fertile lands in the Palestinian territories represent a flagrant violation of the international law, particularly the Article 53 of 4th Geneva Convention that calls for protection of civilians under occupation.

The Organization called on the international community to move quickly to halt the Israeli continued aggression on the Palestinians and to ensure the international protection of them and to put in effect the Articles 146 and 147 regarding bringing war criminals to justice.
