Falluja maintains solidarity with al-Sader, ten Iraqis killed in battles in Baghdad, the south

Scores of Iraqis were killed during the two past days in fighting they launched with the occupation forces in Baghdad and cities of southern Iraq, especially al-Nasereyah, Karbala and al-Amara, at a time when a cautious calm prevailed al-Najaf city, where a delegation representing Falluja scholars met with the Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sader and voiced solidarity with him.
The American army lost four of its soldiers. The Iraqi resistance men had violent fighting with the Italian occupation forces in al-Nasereyah during which two Iraqi were killed and 20 others wounded. Witnesses said that most of the fighting took place on two bridges in the city crossing the Euphrates river. The Italian army said that 6 of its soldiers were injured.
The Italian News agency said that a convoy carrying the Italian official in the occupation authority for al-Naserayah Barbara Continy was attacked near the premises of the occupation authority in the city. The agency added that Continy was injured in addition to two Italian soldiers.
However, the occupation authorities withdrew all its employees, except the military men, from al-Nasereyah where fighting continued on Sunday since last Friday, to a military base because of the violent resistance attacks.
In Najaf, two Iraqi twin children ( two year old) were killed when a mortar, targeting a British based hit their neighboring house and other four Iraqis were injured in the same attack. All the victims are from the same family.
