Britain: Daily Mirror chief editor quitted

Chief editor of the British daily Daily Mirror submitted his resignation yesterday over disclosing that the pictures published by the paper showing British soldiers mistreating Iraqi detainees are fake, according to the paper.
The paper said in a statement that " there is now enough evidences indicating that this pictures are compiled and "Daily Mirror" was cheated. The statement added that the Board of directors of "Trinity Mirrors Group " decided that it is inappropriate that " Purse Morgan " will continue his work as a chief editor for the paper and therefore he will quit his post immediately.
The statement added that the paper " apologizes unreservedly over publishing the pictures and deeply regrets the inflicted damages" on the reputation of the army in Iraq."
