Hariri confers with EC vice president

Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri on Friday discussed with Deputy Chairperson of the European Commission In Charge of the EU Energy and Transport, Loyola De Palacio, the gas agreement between Syria and Lebanon which aims at substituting fuel oil for electricity generation.
Palacio told reporters following the meeting that she informed Hariri that the association agreement between Lebanon and the EU is in the final stage for approval.
She added that she conveyed to the Lebanese prime minister the will of the EU to continue work for the Euro-Med integration and to promote cooperation with all the countries of the region and to reach economic integration as soon as possible.
