Aleppo Mufti confers with Jewish delegation of Syrian origin

Mufti of the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, Ahmad Hassoun, on Wednesday met a delegation of the Moses community of Syrian origins in the U.S. headed by Mr. Jack Avital where talks dealt with the importance of fraternal coexistence among all heavenly religions.

The Mufti stressed that "we have to teach our sons the human values ordered by God to us we the Moslems, Christians and Jews to live together with each other on this Earth."

He also called on members of the delegation to accompany their children to their country Syria to know that their grandfathers lived here in peace and harmony. The Moses community delegation had already toured the old markets and archeological sites of Aleppo city. The meeting was attended by the Syrian Ambassador to the U.S. Imad Mustafa.
