Palestinian resistance accepts conditions for handing over remains of Israelis

Six Israeli soldiers were killed in a tank explosion along the border strip between Rafah and Egypt, less than 28 hours after the killing of 6 Israeli soldiers in a mine explosion in al-Zeitoun quarters on Gaza.

A source in the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine said that al-Quds groups, the military wing of the movement killed five Israeli soldiers in blowing up one Israeli vehicle near Salah Eddine gate in Rafah to the south of Gaza. A statement by al-Quds group in Rafah to the south of Gaza confirmed the killing of all occupants of the vehicle and the Palestinian fighters kept all bodies and remains.

News reports said that the Israeli escalation in al-Zeitoun quarters resulted so far in killing five Palestinians and wounding other 50.

The news reports said that ambulances tried to enter al-Zeitoun quarters to transfer the wounded and reach necessary medicine supplies were obliged to return back after they were exposed to intensive fire by the occupation soldiers.

The occupation forces continue their operation in this quarter where it prevent the citizens from leaving their houses and deploy snipers on the roof of houses, while bulldozers continue demolishing. One of the raids targets the house of one cadre of the Hamas movement in the quarters.

The news reports said that the Palestinian resistance destroyed one tank for the occupation forces in al-Mintar area to the east of al-Shuja'eya quarters in Gaza. Sources in the Palestinian resistance and witnesses said that fire flames were seen coming from the tank after it was hit by a mine. Al-Qassam group claimed responsibility for blowing up an Israeli Hummer car and pictured it.

Meantime, news reports in Gaza said that the Palestinian resistance groups agreed to hand over the remains of the Israeli soldiers who were killed in Gaza during the incursion of the Israeli forces in al-Zeitoun quarters on Tuesday.

These groups agreed to hand over remains of the Israeli soldiers for the withdrawal of the occupation forces from Gaza and handing over bodies of the Palestinians killed in the Israeli incursions. However, the Israeli side has not announced yet its official consent. One Palestinian delegation and another Egyptian one led by the intelligence director Omar Suleiman carried out the mediation to this effect.
