Morocco-Italy, Politics, 5/11/2004

The Moroccan Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister on Monday said that his country counts on Italy to help consolidate the "advanced status" granted by the European Union to Morocco.

"Morocco which has been accepted for an advanced status within the EU, counts on the assistance of its Italian friends so that this process moves forward to reach the target set by HM King Mohammed VI,," said Mohamed Benaissa at a meeting with visiting Italian Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Alfredo Mantica.
