Tunisia prepares to launch the first private satellite station

The first private TV satellite station in Tunisia is preparing to broadcast its programs in Arabic language via satellite after completing technical preparations and administrative measures. Its founder signed an agreement to this effect with the ministry of technology and telecommunications.

This channel, however, is expected to enhance the media scene in Tunisia, especially after the launching of the first Radio station.

The media circles in Tunisia view with great optimism the progress attained on the media sector, especially at the audio- visual level as a contribution to pluralism in enriching media achievements.

However, the Tunisia, " Music FM radio" was the first private radio that started its programs in November 2003.
