Three Iraqis were killed, threats to foreign workers in Basra

Sheikh Abdul hadi al-Darraji, the director of al-Sader office in Baghdad said that three persons were killed and other 7 injured as a result of one American plane bombardment of the office of the Shiite leader office Muqtada al- Sader in al-Sader city in Baghdad.
While sources of the American army said that the raid resulted in killing 16 persons, expected to be members of al-Mahdi army.
The attack resulted in total destruction of the office and damaging a neighboring building.
This came hours after the announcement made by the director of Martyr al-Sader office, Aous al-Khaffaji, that members of al-Mahdi army withdrew from the city on Sunday evening. News reports in al-Nasereyah quoted al-Khafaji as saying that this step came after the Italian forces released Sheikh Mu'ayad al-Assadi, one member of al-Sader office in the city who was detained two days earlier.
On the other hand, a group calling itself "Altaf martyrs groups" said that all workers in the Arab and foreign companies in Basra, especially the Kuwaiti ones the target of kidnapping and killing.
The group warned in a tape record workers in these companies to get out of the streets because "they and the members of the occupation forces are the same." This coincided with the killing of one Iraqi and one engineer from south Africa and another from New Zeland were reported as strongly injured by the fire of unidentified persons in Karkouk city yesterday morning.
News reports said that the killed men are working in Karkouk electricity network.
On the other hand, a source in the Iraqi police said that Deyali governor yesterday ( Monday) escaped an assassination attempt when his procession was running near Baqouba ( 60 Km to the north of Baghdad), resulted in killing two of his guards and wounding other three.
On Sunday, one persons assassinated the director of investigation department in Deyali governorate, Maj. Ali Hussein al-Azzawi while he was getting out of his car in the downtown of Baqouba, according to the Iraqi police.
