Egypt: al-Salam peace is not licensed
Egypt, Politics, 5/10/2004
The court of the parties in charge of organizing works of political parties in Egypt refused on Saturday to give license for a new party under the name of the " International peace party."
The court justified its rejections to that "party brought nothing new and has no new philosophy, nor a new character and the program which it had set to challenge terrorism and to maintain peace is a program existing in all standing parties in Egypt."
The licensing application was submitted in the name of the founders, by actor Atef Ahmad Boudi.
