Saudi, Yemen exchange handing over detainees

Saudi Arabia's ministry of the interior announced that Riyadh handed over 14 Yemeni citizens detained at security accusations and for that got one Saudi who was detained in Yemen in the most recent detainees exchange between the two states.
The exchange of detainees between Yemen and Saudi Arabia falls in the course of security issues in the context of security cooperation relations between the two states and the agreement signed by the two sides to this effect.
Yemen received from the Saudi authority some 21 wanted, including persons accused in blowing up the French oil tanker ( Limburg) on the coasts of Hadramout in October 2002.
During the same month, the Saudi authorities got 12 accused persons suspected to be members in al-Qaida organization. In the earlier exchange operation Saudi Arabia handed over 12 accused persons one of them suspected to be al-Qaida member. In March exchange operation of detainees took place where Saudi Arabia handed over 8 Yemenis and got five Saudis.
Last Tuesday, the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh received prince Muhammad Bin Nayef- the Saudi deputy minister of the interior for security affairs and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two states especially in the security field.
