Syria's interventions at Dublin's meeting by al-Shara

The European - Mediterranean Countries Association Foreign Ministers held in Dublin on Thursday a final session with the participation of Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara.
Al-Shara gave an interposition in which he reiterated Syria's call for freeing the Middle East from weapons of mass destruction including the Israeli nuclear arsenal.
He also renewed Syria's adherence to the just and comprehensive peace based on the Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Arab territories to June 4, 1967 line, enabling the Palestinian to establish their independent state. Al-Shara referred to the dangerous developments in the region, " These developments formed an obstacle in front of enhancing the march of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation."
He said adding " This shoulders partners the responsibility for contribution to put an end to the Israeli occupation and acquiring the other's lands by force as well as to oblige Israel to commit itself to the international resolutions." Al-Shara stressed the necessity for ending the occupation of Iraq and maintaining its territorial integrity to enable the Iraqis run their own affairs by themselves.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Shara met with French Foreign Minister Michael Darnee.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the developments of the situation in Iraq and means of getting out of the Iraqi current ordeal.
Talks also dealt with the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries Syria and France and means of boosting them.
Al-Shara also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul for talks on the latest developments in Iraq.
Both sides underlined the important role of Iraq's neighboring states to help the Iraqis regain sovereignty, maintain territorial integrity and run their affairs by themselves.
Al-Shara and Gul expressed content over the continuous progress of the standing bilateral relations between Syrian and Turkey in all domains.
