Ethiopian Ambassador: Egyptian-Ethiopian relations strong
Egypt-Ethiopia, Politics, 5/6/2004
The Ethiopian Ambassador in Cairo Abdi Doulal Mohamed asserted the depth of relations between Egypt and Ethiopia, noting that those ties have recently witnessed a steady development.
Speaking to MENA correspondent on Wednesday, he pointed out that feasibility studies have been completed for seven joint projects to be carried out shortly between Egypt and Ethiopia in addition to signing of a number of agreements in the economic, social and cultural domains to help promote relations between them.
The Ethiopian Ambassador voiced his country's rejection of Israel's policy of assassination as well as its threats against Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
Those threats will not solve the problem, as both the Palestinian and Israeli sides should return to the negotiating table to reach a solution acceptable to both sides, he said.
