Wydad Club of Casablanca fires Swiss coach
Morocco, Sports, 5/6/2004
The Casablanca football club "RAJA" announced it has fired its Swiss coach, Michel Decastel after the club was defeated (2-0) in a derby match against FAR.
A member of the club committee said the Wydad and its coach have decided to separate.
Decastel who has been coaching Wydad since December has a balance sheet of six victories, six draws and two defeats.
The team will be coached by former club player Mustapha Chahid Chrif who had already trained the club in 1994 when they captured the Throne Cup. Funny enough, his first match will be a return against Ittihad-Tangier, the same club he was coaching when they beat Wydad (1-0).
