Mubarak calls for honoring the Iraqis: The summit will set a strategy for reforms

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak yesterday called for "full guarantee of human rights in Iraq " and the return of " sovereignty and dignity" to the Iraqis in the date set on June 30.
He also vowed that the next Arab summit will "set the pillars of a clear Arab strategy in the area of modernization and development and internal reforms." In a televised speech, Mubarak said " a real efforts should be made to bring back stability and security for the Iraqi people and honoring full human rights in dealing with them instead of seeking the impositions of foreign initiatives that have no connection to the Arab or Iraqi culture, nor complies with the nature of the people of Iraq, their ethnic and religious composition and political and social backgrounds."
Mubarak added that the " return back of stability and security to Iraq is linked fundamentally to the restoration of their sovereignty and dignity in a context which maintains its regional unity and territorial integrity and the ethical and racial unity of its people." Mubarak also explained "to achieve that, efforts aiming at enabling the Iraqi people assuming authority on June 30 should be intensified."
The Egyptian President stressed that the Arab summit will come up with "clearer stances and confirm our collective determination to revitalize the Arab League." he indicated that these stances " will set the foundations for a clear Arab strategy in the area of modernization and development and internal reforms, each of our countries is working to implement in line with its cultural, religious and ethnic affiliations and its population and social structure."
Mubarak stressed that the main challenge Egypt is facing is that of unemployment which is estimated at 10% of the total labor forces in the country. He called for doubling efforts in order to monitor population rapid increase.
