Al-Baja Jee, the new flag is not an Arab

Member of the governing Interim council in Iraq Adnan al-Baja Jee said he dislikes the new Iraqi flag because it is not "an Arab, enough."

He added he does not like this flag at all, adding that the idea came to that the green to be kept as an Arab color and instead of the two blue lines there should be two lines in red and the yellow stripe to be in the center. He added that this matter ( of the flag) was dealt with quickly and the new flag might be temporary.

In the same context, witnesses said that scores of students demonstrated yesterday against the new Iraqi flag in Musil, where armed demonstrators fired bullets in the air. The demonstrators chanted slogans against the governing Interim council which took the initiative of giving up the previous Iraqi flag.
