Anglican Churches deplore American and Israeli occupations
Regional, Politics, 5/4/2004
The Anglican Churches in the Middle East condemned practices of the American occupation troops against Iraqi citizens and their human right violations there.
Pastors of the churches who met in Cairo said the American occupation of Iraq should be ended as soon as possible and Iraqi people must be able to run their own affairs by themselves to rebuild the country and establish security and stability.
The Pastors also voiced full solidarity with the legitimate struggle led by the Palestinian people until the establishment of an independent state on their national soil.
Representatives of the Anglican Churches in the Middle East strongly denounced the exercises of assassinations perpetrated by Israeli troops in the occupied Palestinian lands.
