Maher called on Palestinians and Israelis to return to the negotiation table
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 5/4/2004

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher on Monday said any Israeli withdrawal, or any removal of the settlements from the occupied lands should come in a framework of the Israeli complete withdrawal from all occupied Arab lands.

In a statement, Maher called on Palestinians and Israelis to return to the negotiation table in order to reach a solution to the Palestinian issue according to the international resolutions, rejecting any Israeli unilateral measures.

On the Iraqi question, Maher condemned the US occupation assaults against Iraqis and human rights, adding these assaults are violations of the Geneva Conventions and human rights, calling for a serious investigation to punish those who committed such crimes.

Maher added that USA which calls on the whole world to respect the human rights, should first punish those who committed these brutal practices. SANA
