Damascus criticizes Washington's doubts of al-Mezze incidents

The Syrian minister of expatriates Butheina Shaaban strongly criticized the doubts raised by two members of the US Congress in the attack which took place last Tuesday in Damascus as the two men described it as a play fabricated by the Syrian regime to win the world sympathy and alleviate the American pressures.
In an article issued yesterday ( Sunday) in the state run Syrian daily Tehsreen, Shaaban expressed her shock over the statements made by the two American congressmen who considered the "bloody attack" committed last Tuesday in Damascus as " a play." The Syrian minister said that the volume of the shock which Damascus was tremendous and only competed by the shock she had received when heard that the two American congressmen are doubting that the terrorist incident in Mezze area in Damascus might be fabricated by the Syrian government in order to win some world sympathy and to alleviate the American pressures on it."
Shaaban stressed that the American message is clear for us, as Arabs to that " the life of any Arab does not deserve that of a western and the terrorism against the Arabs deserves not to be condemned from the West, while the Arabs are demanded to deplore any violation for the life of a western, wherever."
The two American congressmen, the democratic Eliot Angle and the republican Eleina Ross described Damascus incident as a "play" made by the Syrian regime to avoid the American sanctions and they called on the White House to implement Syria's accountability law which was approved by the American Congress and signed by President George W. Bush four months ago.
Worthy mentioning that two attackers and one woman were killed on Tuesday in a fire exchange took place in an attack against a building of former UNDOF headquarters in al-Mezze quarters to the west of Damascus.
