Five Israelis killed in an attack at Kisovim settlement, al-Jihad, resistance committees claim responsibility

Ezz Eddine al-Qassam group, the military wing of the Islamic resistance movement ( Hamas ) denied what was rumored on its responsibility for the Kosovim crossing operation in which five Israelis were killed. In its statement, the groups described this operation as heroic and denied one of its cadres to have had made the attack.
Saraya al-Quds ( al-Quds groups ), the military wing of the Islamic front movement and groups of al-Naser Salah Eddine, the military wing of the people's resistance committees claimed responsibility for the operation. A member in al-Jihad movement said that the two executors of the operation are members of al-Quds groups. They are Ibrahim Hammad ( 22 year old) and Faisal Abu Nqeira ( 20 year old) from al-Naser Salah Eddine group from Rafah.
The two men attacked a procession of cars for the Jewish settlers by their machine guns and explosives at the crossing which is conducive to the complex of Ghoushe Katif settlements and also inflected damages in the lines of the occupation army in a fire exchange following the attack.
A spokesman for al-Jihad said through loudspeakers in Rafah that the attacks comes in reply to the "Zionist massacres and the assassination operations which were committed against the Mujahideen," with the last of which the assassination of the founder of the Hamas movement, Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, and its former commander in Gaza, Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi.
Following the attack, the Israeli occupation forces introduced reinforcement to the area and the Israeli army installed barriers that divided Gaza into three areas for the first time since one year. Check points were installed in the southern and northern as well as central parts of the sector, not far from Natsareim settlement, near Gaza and the Israeli army is closely monitoring the traffic in these areas.
The spokesman for the Israeli government, Ave Bazner, described the attack as " massacre " and accused the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and the Hamas movement of attempting to foil the plan of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon to withdraw from Gaza.
In a statement, the settlers administration announced determination to proceed, despite the attack Ð in its campaign aims at urging members of the Likud to vote against Sharon's plan. However, the voting of Likud members on the plan started in Israel hours before Kisovim crossing attack. N.
