China oil corporation gets offshore oil prospecting licence in Morocco

China Offshore Oil Corporation has obtained an offshore oil drilling licence in Ras Tafeiney, on the southern Atlantic shore, near Agadir.
The announcement was made this Thursday by general manager of Morocco's hydrocarbons and mining office (ONHYM), Amina Benkhadra, following a session with executives from the Chinese company.
She said the Ras Tafeiney oil prospecting licence will start next May.
Morocco will also supply to the Chinese company all information on other offshore and onshore regions.
