Poland for boosting trade, economic relations with Syria

Poland's Ambassador to Syria, Jacek Chodorowicz, on Friday described relations between Syria and his country as good especially in the economic, cultural and social domains.
In a statement to SANA reporter on the occasion of Poland's National Day, the Ambassador hoped trade exchange would be increased between the two countries as well as investment opportunities in a way that achieves their joint interest.
He noted that Poland's membership to the EU would be fruitful regarding ties between Warsaw and the Arab states in general and Syria in particular.
The Polish Ambassador also hoped Syria and the EU would shortly sign the partnership accord between them.
He noted his country's celebrations of the National Day were coinciding with the enlargement of the EU that includes Poland pointing that Warsaw's joining was due to reforms started in 1990.
The Ambassador highly appreciated Syria's positions calling for the just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East and wished a quick resumption of the peace process as to achieves security and stability in the region and in cooperation with the international community.
