Deliberations of the 16th World conference on Islamic affairs council continued in Cairo

Syrian Minister of Awqaf ( Islamic Trusts ) Muhammad Ziada on Thursday chaired the first session of the second day of the 16th "World Conference of Islamic Affairs Higher Council" being held in Cairo.
Ziada expressed hope that the conference will issue recommendations and resolutions that enhance the ties among Muslims and show the real human tolerance of Islam which our Prophet Muhammad has ordered of.
The Supreme Shiite Council Leader in Lebanon, Sheikh Abed al-Emir Qabalan, for his part, condemned the US allegations and accusations of Syria, stressing that these accusations come in the context of a Zionist - US plan to dominate the Middle East Region.
He urged Arab and Islamic nations to adopt strong stances vis-a-vis the deteriorating situation in Palestine as a result of the Israeli occupation brutal practices against Palestinians, and in Iraq which suffer inhuman practices under occupation.
Jerusalem Mufti, Sheikh Ikrema Sabri, for his part, said, on the sidelines of the conference, that the Israeli occupation policy of assassination will not affect the Palestinians' determination to restore all their legitimate usurped rights.
