Regional-Israel, Economics, 4/30/2004

The 72nd Conference of the Liaison Officers of the Arab and Regional Offices for Boycotting Israel called for annulling the so-called Syria Accountability Act, considering it as a violation of the international law.

At the end of the conference, participants called upon Arab media to adopt the policy of defining the economic boycott of Israel in the international and the Arab worlds and pointing to its positive role in supporting the peoples' struggle against occupation.

The Conference also called on the Arab states and parliaments to exert efforts at the European Union to impose taxes on the Israeli products and to suspend the partnership with Israel until it responds to the international resolutions.

They stressed the necessity of exerting efforts to impose sanctions on Israel which occupies the Arab lands, refuses to commit itself to the international laws and practices the organized extermination against the unarmed Palestinian people.

They slammed "the Israeli assassination of the Palestinian leaders and personnel within a the framework of a criminal drawn plan."

They also called for ending the American occupation of Iraq, stressing that the Iraqis are facing the Israeli penetration attempts in Iraq that violates the boycott principles in the Arab states.
