Damascus symposium to enhance EU - Syrian heritage dialogue

Directorate General for Museum and Antiquities in cooperation with the European Commission on Tuesday has made a dialogue symposium to enhance cultural and heritage sites protection in Syria.
The meeting which came as part of the program for cultural and heritage protection for the Syria-European project is financed by the EU. It aims at forming a team work of renovators, researchers and trained employers over various technologies to save heritage and historical edifices.
Symposium also discussed the necessity of boosting the ability of the Directorate General for Museum and Antiquities on administrating the historical and cultural heritage sites in addition to qualify Syrian training experts on the technology of repairing and protecting the antiquities.
