Lahoud expresses concern over situation in Iraq

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Monday expressed deep concern over the deteriorating and dangerous situation In Iraq. During meetings held in Beirut, Lahoud stressed the necessity for UN to assume a main role in Iraq in order to enable Iraqis determine their national alternatives away from any foreign pressures.
He added that the forthcoming Arab Summit should be convened away from any difference in order to reactivate the resolutions adopted in Beirut Summit.
