Turkish parliament speaker highlights relations with Syria

Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc on Saturday appreciated the results of President Bashar al-Assad's recent visit to Turkey and its positive impacts on the Syrian-Turkish relations.

" The visit formed an important stage for developing these relations " Arinc said in an interview to the Saudi newspaper 'al-Yom'.

He underlined the continuation of exchanging visits among Syrian and Turkish officials which play an important role in boosting the economic relations.

Arinc noted to the joint historical ties between Arabs and Turks confirming the two sides desire to strengthen these ties.

Arinc condemned the Israeli brutal practices which hinder the achievement of just and comprehensive peace in the region.

He stressed the Iraqi people's right to manage their affairs by themselves calling for maintaining Iraq's territorial integrity.
