Damascus: Changes in media foundations

The Syrian official news agency SANA said on Saturday that several media and press establishments witnessed a change in the administration and several new directors were appointed to these establishments and many of them were transferred to work at the foreign ministry.

SANA's director general Ghazi al-Deeb was replaced by Adnan Mahmoud who used to work as SANA's correspondent in Cairo and al-Deeb was transferred to work at the foreign ministry. Suleiman Abu Diab, who works for the news sector at the foreign ministry was transferred to the foreign ministry and Qusai Marouf who works as a correspondent of SANA's office in Tunisia was also transferred to the Foreign ministry.

Fayez al-Sayyegh was appointed chief editor for al-Thawra daily. Fahd Diab was a director for the printings and publications establishments. Maaen Haidar as a director for the radio and TV, Foad al-Shurbaji for the TV, Saad al-Qasem for the Syrian Space channel, Nidal Qabalan for the Syrian English channel 2 and Nayef Hammoud a director for the Syrian radio.
