Mrs. Asma al-Assad Launches ceremony of the Children And War Campaign

In the presence of Syria's First Lady Asmaa al-Assad, a celebration was held yesterday, April 21st, evening at the Damascus al-Assad National Library's auditorium marking the launching of the " Children And war Campaign." The event which is run at the support of Mrs. Asma al- Assad is organized by the Red Cross (ICRC), Damascus office and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent society.
This campaign, which lasts one year, aims at shedding light on the plight of the children during armed conflicts, as well as at spreading International Humanitarian Law (IHL), provisions that provide special protection for Children in wartimes.
