Preparations for the summit in Cairo, Sanaa

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt yesterday discussed with the Tunisian foreign minister al-Habib Bin Yahya preparations for the next Arab summit due to be held on May 22nd.
Bin Yahya told journalists that the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers due to be held in Cairo in May to continue preparations for the summit will witness a new spirit for Arab consensus.
The Egyptian foreign minister Ahmed Maher, who attended the meeting said that the Arab peace initiative is still being discussed, noting that the summit will also discuss "what was inflected in the region of grave developments that Arab leaders need to tackle." In Sanaa, the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh discussed with the secretary general of the Arab league Amr Moussa, preparations for the summit, according to an official source.
The Yemeni official news agency said that the Yemeni President underlined the importance of accelerating the process of convening the summit and coming up with positive results to withstand current challenges imposed on the nation.
