Follow the women: Women arrived in Damascus

The "Follow the women " march which was organized by the Syrian Space-Tel company under the sponsorship of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, arrived in Damascus on Monday.

The march was received by Assistant of Communication and Technology Minister Nebal Idelbi.

Mrs. Idelbi welcomed the participants at the march, asserting that this event constitutes a new push for the efforts exerted in solidarity with the Arab women.

The Women for Peace march, consisting of around 250 cyclists from 23 Arab and Foreign countries, have toured Damascus' main streets. The women also visited al-Hamedia Market, al-Marja Square and Medhat Basha Street.

The participants belong to the U.S., Britain, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Malta, Switzerland, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Syria.

The Women for Peace march aims at portraying a civilized picture of the situation of women in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria, to get acquainted with the situation of Arab women in areas of conflict and to refute allegations that those countries lack security.
