Saudi Arabia licenses for establishing 15 branches of foreign universities

The secretary of the Saudi Arabian ministry of commerce and industry, Fawaz al-Alami, said yesterday that the Saudi government approved to license some 15 foreign universities to establish branches in the Kingdom.
Al-Alami said in statements quoted by the Saudi daily Okaz that the approvals came after studying 45 applications Riyadh had received from world universities to open branches in the Kingdom. But he gave no mention to the names of the universities which got the licenses and no more details.
