Kuwait Constitutional movement rejects the new American ambassador

The Islamic constitutional movement in Kuwait, which is close to the Muslims Brothers, called on the government to reject the diplomat who was nominated by the US to chair its embassy in Kuwait, Richard Librown, currently occupies the post of the chairman of the American diplomatic mission in Tel Aviv in protest of the assassination of Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi.

The spokesman for the movement which has parliamentarians at the Kuwaiti parliament, Muhammad al-Alim said " the constitutional Islamic movement calls for rejecting the acceptance of the new American ambassador who comes from Tel Aviv."

On the other hand, one security official said that Kuwait enhanced the security measures under the escalated condition of instability in the region, especially in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. He added " the situation in Iraq makes it imperative for Kuwait to be ready to any incident at any time." he continued that the security measures includes placing inspection points and running patrols in the northern and central areas of the country and along the border.

On the other hand, one economic report said that Kuwait has achieved actual revenues reached 6.92 billion Kuwaiti Dinars ( USD 23.1) billion in the fiscal year 2003- 2004 which expired on March 31st. These revenues, however, are considered the greatest since one quarter of a century and resulted from the increase in the oil prices and the increase in its production as well the reduction of public spending.
