Syrian- Jordanian, Lebanese Ophthalmology Conference opened

Health Minister Muhammad Iyad al-Shatti on Thursday opened the Syrian-Jordanian-Lebanese Second Regional Conference and the 29th annual Conference of the Syrian Association of Ophthalmology.

The minister delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of this conference which unifies several Arab medical associations, through which they achieve the scientific and medical connection and exchange information and expertise in the field of ophthalmology.

Doctors from Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon stressed, in their speeches, that these conferences reflect a positive and perfect condition as they enhance the scientific ties and unify efforts to promote the medical situation in the Arab states.

They called for a continued coordination in order to come up with the accelerating scientific developments in the world in a way to positively provide best means of medical treatment for the Arab citizen.

Several lectures focusing on ophthalmology will be given during the three-days conference.
