Palestine-Israel, Politics, 4/15/2004

The Palestinian President Yasser Arafat warned the US that it will eliminate any hope in establishing peace in the Middle East if it will give Israel guarantees according to which it will keep the settlements in the West Bank.

Meantime some 22 Palestinians were injured in protests of the separation wall near occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement, the office of the Palestinian President said that following an urgent meeting held by the Palestinian leadership in Ramullah under the chairmanship of Yasser Arafat and the presence of the prime minister Ahmad Qurei' had received information on the content of the agreement Sharon seeks to reach with the US President George W. Bush that the agreement " for the first time violates the question of the Palestinian refugees and the border of 1967, including wast Jerusalem."
