Refaee: Syria's economy is booming

Syria's Economy and Trader Minister Ghassan al-Refaee on Tuesday said the Syrian Economy is witnessing a big economic openness that focuses on several basic sectors in industry, banking, administration and finance.
Upon his arrival in Kuwait to take part in the annual meetings of Arab Financial commissions due to begin today, Refaee called on the Kuwaiti and Syrian investors to launch joint investments in both states.
"There are several opportunities in Syria for many sectors, particularly we are reconsidering all the measures regarding the process of attracting foreign investments into Syria," Refaee told reporters.
He added that financial institutions are studying nowadays the investment law no.10, stressing that those who study it are taking into consideration that the law will keep the investor's rights and will give big privileges to the investors in Syria.
