Moroccan, Egyptian merchant marine commission to convene in alexandria

The Moroccan-Egyptian merchant marine joint commission will convene on April 11-14 in Alexandria.
The commission will examine means to foster maritime training, the exchange of information on sea safety and cooperation between Moroccan and Egyptian sea transport companies, the equipment and transport ministry said in a release.
It will also probe implements to coordinate positions within international organizations and the project of a regular maritime link.
The two countries signed in March 1989 an agreement on sea transport stipulating the creation of a joint commission to follow up the implementation of the accord's provisions.
