Druz of 1948 commend Junblat, decide to head for the supreme court

The Druze "Keeping Contacts" which was formed following the rejection of the Israeli authorities permitting a delegation representing the Druz of 1948 to travel to Lebanon to offer condolences on the demise of Sheikh Halawi, held a meeting in Beit Jin village to discuss the march of contacts with their relatives and families in Syria and Lebanon.

Following discussions and deliberations, the council said that in "light of the council's vision that contacts is a natural humanitarian right of which the Druze of 1948 were deprived for 55 years, while other "sects" of the Palestinians had, decided to enhance the march of contacts betweem the Druze Arabs in the lands of 1948 and their relatives, especially in Syria and Lebanon;

The council assesses the role played by the " Lebanese socialist progressive party" headed by Walid Junblat to support this march; The council assesses the position of the Syrian leadership national and humanitarian role concerning the issue of continued contacts; sending a last memorandum in the name of all members of the council to the specialized authorities in order to get clear answers on approval or not, within two weeks.; and having the " Supreme Court" as the main reference to issue a verdict against the specialized authorities abiding it for approval for opening the way before Druze contacts with their people in syria and Lebanon and this is through the consent to get out to visit their holy shrines in Syria and Lebanon, especially the annual visit of Prophet Hable ( Habeel) in Syria in the beginning of September.
