American ships resume using the port of Aden
Yemen-USA, Politics, 4/8/2004

The commander of the American joint forces for fighting terrorism in the African horn, Mastin Robson, announced yesterday that the American forces might resume this year using the port of Aden, in the south of Yemen, as a station for fuel supplies following a four- day suspension.

Robson said in a celebration held in the port of Aden to inaugurate setting into operation 7 boats handed over to the Yemeni coasts police as a donation from the USA, " we do hope that this year will witness the return back of the American ships to stop here," commending the Yemeni measures to ensure the safety of its coats and the efforts made by Sanaa to fighting terrorism.

The American warships stopped anchoring at Aden port following the attack on the American " USS Cole " while it was provided with fuels on October 21, 2000 which resulted then in killing 17 American soldiers.
