Kuwait rejects al-Sader call for the evacuation of the Americans
Kuwait-USA, Politics, 4/8/2004
Kuwait yesterday rejected the call made by the Shiite clergy Muqtada al-Sader on it to get the American forces out of its lands and stressed it "does not accept" instructions.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister Sheikh Muhammad al-Sabah said "Kuwait is an independent and sovereign state and does not accept to be told whom to keep and whom to expel."
In a statement yesterday Muqtada al-Sader said " I call on our neighbor Kuwait to demand the departure of the American forces deployed on its lands and to stand beside us to get rid off the Greater devil in Iraq. "
