Al-Assad wraps up an Arab tour

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad returned to Damascus Wednesday afternoon following a short visit to Jordan.
Earlier, within the frame work of closing the Arab ranks President Assad had already arrived in Amman.
The President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara. Later, King Abdullah held a banquet in honor of President Assad, during which they held talks. Talks dealt with the ongoing consultations on preparing for convening the Arab summit.
The two sides agreed on the necessity of preparing well for the summit to come up with decisions that rise to the level of the current challenges and boost cooperation among the Arab states.
The two sides also reviewed the bilateral relations and means of boosting them. The banquet was attended by Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara, Jordan's Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Minster of the Royal Court.
