Egyptian companies to execute electricity linkage in Libya

Egypt's Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Younis said that three Egyptian electricity companies have held talks with Libyan officials including the Minister of Electricity, Omran Boukraa on the project to execute electricity linkage in Libya extending to 570 kilometers as a part of Arab Maghreb electricity grid.
Younis said that the electricity sector will provide all means of support to the Egyptian companies to compete for projects abroad which will have positive impacts on the national economy.
Chairman of the working group of the three companies, Al-Sayed Al Shahat, said that the technical and labor resources are available in Egyptian construction and contractors companies in cooperation with the manufactures of electricity equipment in Egypt.
