Lahoud highlights Syria's role in Lebanon

Lebanon's President Emile Lahoud on Tuesday praised the Syrian role in Lebanon, in reference to the Syrian efforts exerted to avoid the partition of Lebanon, reunifying it and supporting its legislation and security institutions.
During a meeting with Belgian House of Representatives' Speaker Herman Ducreau, Lahoud stressed that the Syrian army presence in Lebanon is a factor of stability to Lebanon and to the whole region until the achievement of just and comprehensive peace.
