Riyadh: One wanted was killed in al-Rawda quarters

The Saudi security authorities said yesterday it had killed one wanted armed man and wounded another during fire exchange in al-Rawda quarters to the east of Riyadh.

Police officials said that the security forces opened fire at a car in the quarters that had refused an order to stop and this resulted in killing two wanted persons inside it and wounding another. The officials added that three men were wounded in the clashes.

On the other hand, press sources said that the Saudi police were able on Sunday to seize unidentified persons having with them machineguns and bullets during inspections in one village in Mahayel Aseer governorate to the southern west of the country with the objective of trading. The Saudi al-Watan daily said that the unidentified persons were ambushed after information reached the police, and the persons were indicted on the sport selling weapons and 300 bullets.
