Al-Dostour: Orthodox Church condemns silence towards Sharon's crimes
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 4/5/2004

Arab and international silence towards the Israeli occupation crimes is in the interest of Israeli Prime Minister who seeks to kill any hope in peace, official spokesman for the Orthodox Church in Jerusalem and the Holy Land said.

Peace has no future under Sharon's government or any other Zionist one eager to attack Arabs and Palestinians, Father Atallah Hanna said in an interview with the Jordanian Al-Dostour newspaper of Sunday.

He condemned Israel's oppressive military occupation policy which kills women, the elders and children.

"Israel does not want an Arab Christian voice to speak about our national and regional issues," he said pointing out that an Arab Christian voice, which speaks about Arab issues including the Palestinian cause, really irritated Israel.
