The 4th Syrian International Oil and Gas Exhibition and the Syrian first International Environment exhibition will be opened on April 5 through 8 at the New Damascus International Fairground.

The oil and gas industry has for a long time been a major factor that influenced the political and economic conditions in the Middle East and the surrounding region.. Although many of these countries have adapted policies that aim at decreasing the economic reliance on this industry, the size of investments spent to develop and promote petroleum projects is still significant due to the regional need of sustaining and maximizing the current and potential petroleum resources, which are the backbone for meeting the economic and social challenges facing the Middle East region in the 21st century.

Since its first round in 1998, SYROIL, has firmly established itself as one of the most successful specialized events in the Middle East. It is a tested platform to showcase products and services to the key decision makers of the Petroleum industry in the region. The finely targeted blend of SYROIL, visitors deliver a great opportunity to its participants to closely examine the latest petroleum opportunities in the Middle east, explore the technical challenges arising from the regional experience, find reliable partners and contractors at every stage of the Oil and Gas industry, learn about the latest technologies and breakthroughs that have been introduced to the market worldwide.

Together with other 19 companies, representing 32 countries, SYROIL 2002 attracted 8200 visitors attended the exhibitions and the seminars held on site. Their expertise varied from senior Petroleum Engineers and managers, Reservoirs engineers, Drilling Geologists and geophysicists, Process and refinery Engineers, technical managers, Consultants and experts, Commercial managers and businessmen from all around the region.
