Syrian - Turkish media co-operation

A program of cooperation in the filed of news exchange was signed Sunday between the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) and the Turkish CIHAN News Agency.

The program was signed from the Syrian side by Ghazi Al-Deeb, Director General of SANA, and from the Turkish side by Recit Haylamaz, Director General of CIHAN.

The program of bilateral cooperation provides for the exchange of news and expertise in the filed of news agencies, editing, communication, professional courses and photo news via up-to-date technologies.

Earlier, a round of talks was held between Al-Deeb and Haylamaz on the proper means to develop and enhance joint cooperation between both Agencies. The talks were attended by members of the Turkish delegation accompanying. Haylamaz.

CIHAN Director General had already arrived in Damascus Sunday morning, accompanied by Mr. Nevzat Bayhan, Deputy Director General and Arhan Bash, editor-in-chief of CIHAN on a several-day visit to Syria on an invitation from SANA.
