Mahatir Mohammad meets with Syrian parliamentary Delegation

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Mohammad praised on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur the spirit of tolerance and fraternity in Syria, particularly within the religious framework.
During a meeting with a Syrian delegation of People's Assembly headed by Mohammad al-Habash, Mohammad stressed the importance of uniting the Islamic capabilities to build a strong nation which is able to achieve social and economic stability, asserting the importance of facing the American projects aiming at imposing hegemony.
For his part, al-Habash talked about the Syrian-Malaysian relations, praising Malaysia's support to the Palestinian people "against the Zionist schemes."
